With 52 days to go until the Games, the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games Organising Committee (AINAGOC) held the final NPC webinar ahead of the Games, providing important operational information to National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) as delegations prepare to arrive in Nagoya this October.
Around 200 NPC delegates attended the webinar, which focused on the final preparations and key requirements for delegations before and during their stay in Japan.
The session took NPCs through the complete journey of their delegations from preparations before travelling and arrival in Nagoya to Games-time services and departure after the Games.
Key functional areas covered included the Delegation Registration Process, Arrival and Departure System, accommodation at Athletes’ Hotels and Athletes’ Plaza, food and beverage services, transportation, classification, medical services, ticketing, ceremonies and doping control.
NPCs were also briefed on arrival procedures at airports and train stations, Welcome Centres, self-drive arrangements and arrivals following Pre-Games Training Camps, as well as key submissions and requirements to be completed before travelling.
With preparations entering their final stage, Asian Paralympic Committee President Majid Rashed highlighted the importance of continued collaboration to ensure the best possible experience for athletes and delegations.
“With just 52 days to go, the excitement is building across Asia as our athletes and NPCs make their final preparations for Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
“The work being done now is extremely important. Close cooperation between the APC, AINAGOC and our NPCs will help ensure that every delegation arrives prepared and that our athletes have the right environment to focus on what matters most — performing at their best on Asia’s biggest Para sport stage.
“I would like to thank AINAGOC and all our NPCs for their tremendous commitment. We look forward to welcoming the Asian Paralympic family to Aichi-Nagoya for what promises to be a memorable Games.”
APC Chief Executive Officer Tarek Souei, who delivered the opening remarks at the webinar, emphasised the importance of providing NPCs with clear and timely information during the final phase of preparations.
“At this stage, having the right information at the right time is extremely important. Our aim is simple: we want every NPC to arrive in Japan well-informed, well-prepared and confident about what to expect throughout the Games.
“This final webinar provides NPCs with important information covering their entire Games journey — from preparations before travelling and arrival in Nagoya to the services available throughout their stay and their eventual departure.
“Behind every athlete is a dedicated team of coaches, officials, support staff and NPC personnel. Their hard work and commitment are an essential part of the athletes’ journey and the success of these Games.”
The webinar also provided NPC representatives with the opportunity to raise questions directly with AINAGOC and clarify outstanding operational matters ahead of their arrival.
Among the important pre-arrival matters highlighted was the Final Delegation Registration Meeting (F-DRM), which will take place from 9 to 17 October and must be completed by each NPC before its delegation arrives.
Delegations were also provided with information on the arrival process through Chubu Centrair International Airport and Nagoya Station, accreditation validation and Welcome Centre services, as well as transportation to their respective accommodation.
During Games time, the NPC Service Centre at Garden Pier will serve as a central hub for communication and services between AINAGOC and NPC delegations, providing support across Games information, finance, transportation, arrivals and departures, rate card and sport-specific matters.
The Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games will take place from18-24 October, bringing together Asia’s leading Para athletes for the continent’s biggest Para sport event.
