CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
MR. TAREK SOUEI
Tarek graduated in Hearing Impaired Education, and worked as a Speech Therapist in Rehabilitation Centers for 23 years. He has been involved in sports as an athlete first, then he spent more than 35 years in the Paralympic Movement as Coach, Team Manager, International Official, Educator and Technical Delegate for several IPC major International Competitions and Paralympic Games.
Starting as Technical Manager for the Al-Ain Club for People of Determination, then Technical Consultant for the UAE NPC, he is now the APC CEO since 2014.
In 2017, he won the Dubai Sports Excellence Award as the best Technical Official in the world from the Middle East Region.
CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
MR. ALAA ELHAROUN
Alaa holds a degree in Science and Education and prior to joining the APC was working for the UAE Disabled Sports Federation, the Dubai Club for People of Determination, UAE Special Olympics and the Fazza Championships Organising Committee as Executive Director. He has vast experience in working within Para-sport and has been involved for many years in major events including the Paralympic Games, Regional and World Championships. He has an experienced Sports Administrator and is now supporting the APC management and helping to oversee APC projects.
GAMES AND SPORT DEVELOPMENT SENIOR MANAGER
MR. SEUNG-HOON (SHAUN) LEE
Seung-hoon (Shaun) LEE has been involved in Asian Para Games since Guangzhou 2010 and now working for APC as Sport Manager. He has experiences in operating and managing the Mega Sports events recently contributed to the success of 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics and Paralympics as Venue General Manager of Olympic Plaza. At the APC, he oversees the preparation and operation of major sports events and development programs as well as supports the Games & Sport Development Committee in their activities.
MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS SENIOR MANAGER
MRS. JANE JONES
Jane was Director of Communications & Marketing for the British Paralympic Association (2007 to 2015). She led the successful commercial and communications strategy for the British Paralympic team at the London 2012 Games. Jane is a member of the IOC Communications Commission. She is in charge of the communications strategy for the APC, including the APC website and social media.
MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS CO-ORDINATOR
MS. PRIYANKA SHARMA
Priyanka has worked as a sports journalist for the last 10 years, and holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication and Bachelor’s degree in Law from Delhi University. As a media professional, she has covered several sporting events in India like 2010 Commonwealth Games, World and Asian Championships besides major badminton and golf events. She has been part of APC since May 2018 and works towards building the media and communications strategy of the company. She is also taking care of APC social media handles.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER
MR. OBAID UR RAHMAN
Obaid holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Shah Abdul Latif University in Pakistan. He has more than 8 years of experience in the area of System & Network Administration and has done additional training in various fields of Information Technology including Microsoft Certifications, CITRIX Certified Sales Professional, ITIL foundation v3 and many more. He joined the APC in April 2018.

MS. MICHELLE MAE ABAD
Michelle holds a degree in Business Administration. She started supporting the APC in the lead-up to the Membership Gathering in May 2015, and became a full-time employee shortly after. She takes care of the general administration of the APC Headquarters and monitors the info@asianparalympic.org address.
PROTOCOL AND HOSPITALITY SENIOR MANAGER
MS. HANADI ALBALUSHI
Hanadi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Political Science – from American University, UAE; she also has a Diploma in Business Administration.
She was the Head of the Protocol Committee during the Fazza Championships and Asian Youth Para Games 2017. She had been involved with the Organizing Committee for different World Championships for people with impairments. She is now the APC Protocol and Events Manager.
