The 2022 Hangzhou Asian Para Games will see a welcome return to Rowing which was absent at the last edition in Jakarta.
There will be five events contested, an increase on the last time that Rowing featured at the 2014 Incheon Asian Para Games in 2014. They will take place at the picturesque Fuyang Water Sports Centre on 26th and 28th October .
Host nation China are strong favourites. They sit second on the all-time Paralympic medal table and will have several athletes who have recently competed at the World Rowing Championships held in Belgrade in September, including silver medallists in the PR2 Mixed Double Skulls Shuang LIU and Jijian JIANG in action.
Japan, Uzbekistan, the Republic of Korea, and India all had athletes at the World Championships too and will be at the Asian Para Game regatta, along with rowers from Hong Kong, Thailand, and Sri Lanka.
