Asian Paralympic Committee and Seoul National University sign MoU to support Dream Together Masters Programme

The Asian Paralympic Committee (AsPC) today signed an MOU with Seoul National University (SNU) to support the Dream Together Masters Programme which is designed to develop future leaders in sports administration and governance.

The Dream Together Masters Programme (DTM) is part of the Global Sport Management Graduate Program of the Seoul National University (SNU) and is funded by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism and the Korean Sports Promotion Foundation. Now in its twelfth year, the course covers subjects such as sports organisation and governance, finance and economics, sports marketing, science and technology and law and will be taught by professors from all around the world. Those who successfully complete the program, will receive a Master of Sport Management degree from Seoul National University. The MOU enables the AsPC to nominate every year two eligible candidates for the Masters programme who will receive full scholarships, including flights, tuition and monthly expenses. The first intake will be in August 2025 and will go through to June 2027, with the students spending the first 17 months in Seoul, then the remaining 6 months in their home country working on their thesis.

All 45 NPCs who are members of the Asian Paralympic Committee have been invited to nominate candidates for the programme by 31st March 2025 after which the AsPC and SNU will select the two successful applicants. The AsPC is particularly welcoming nominations of females, athletes who wish to build a career in sports administration and persons with disabilities.

The MOU was signed in an online ceremony attended by AsPC CEO Mr Tarek Souei, and SNU Programme Director Professor Joon-ho Kang. AsPC President, Mr. Majid Rashed said; “We are proud to offer this unique opportunity to our members, the first time any Paralympic organisation has done so. It is a fantastic chance for talented, passionate and ambitious individuals to enhance their capabilities and support their journey to becoming leaders in para-sport in our region. We are honoured that the Seoul National University is partnering with us to provide this opportunity in line with our Strategic Plan commitment to use regional experts to benefit the continued growth and development of the Paralympic Movement in Asia.”
