The Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) headquarters became a hub of strategic dialogue and diplomatic exchange, hosting two high-level visits last week, that highlight the Committee’s growing leadership and influence in the international para sport movement.
On Monday, May 12, APC President Mr. Majid Rashed warmly received the Governor of Aichi, Japan, Hideaki Ōmura, accompanied by members of his delegation. The visit served as a moment to strengthen the partnership between the host authorities of the 2026 Games and the governing body. The delegation toured the APC headquarters, engaged with staff across departments, and held a focused meeting in the President’s office.

During their discussions, both parties explored essential topics related to Games planning, including infrastructure progress, athlete services, accessibility standards, and regional promotion strategies, reinforcing mutual trust and alignment ahead of the milestone event
.NPC of Kosovo’s visit

The following day, Tuesday, May 13, APC CEO Mr. Tarek Souei welcomed the President of the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Kosovo, Njomza Emini, to the APC offices. This visit, part of the Committee’s broader engagement strategy, reflected the APC’s openness to international cooperation beyond Asia’s borders. It also highlighted the value of sharing experiences, building bridges between NPCs, and fostering global solidarity in the advancement of para sport.

Together, the two visits not only affirmed the APC’s status as a respected regional institution but also highlighted its pivotal role on the world stage.
