Activities held to mark One-Year-To-Go milestone to Hangzhou 2022 Asian Para Games

On the occasion of the one-year countdown to the 4th Asian Para Games to be held in Hangzhou in 2022, the Hangzhou Asian Para Games Organising Committee (HAPGOC) held a ceremony to mark occasion and sent out the official invitations to National Paralympic Committees across Asia.

The event was attended by Mao Genhong, Deputy Secretary General of HAPGOC and Paralympians from Zhejiang province, and was another milestone in the countdown to the 4th Asian Para Games.

The design of the Games invitation reflects the Hangzhou Asian Para Games visual elements. It captures the sporting spirit and the style of the host city.

Each invitation pack contains an invitation, an NPC sample flag, the Game’s mascot Feifei, emblems, T-shirts and canvas bags that send out a welcome to guests and convey the hospitality of the organising committee to NPCs.

NPCs are invited to take photos or make short videos featuring Feifei and post them on their social media platforms to add to the Hangzhou Asian Para Games atmosphere.

HAPGOC holds one-on-one meetings with Asian NPCs

The HAPGOC also held one-on-one meetings with Asian NPCs.

Under the guidance of Asian Paralympic Committee and China Disabled Person’s Federation, NPC services team of HAPGOC has formulated detailed working plans around the Chef de Mission Seminar which will take place in November.

In order to increase the frequency of exchange between HAPGOC and Asian NPCs, NPC services team staff set up video conferences with them to brief on HAPGOC’s preparation for competition invitation, the Hangzhou 2022 NPCnet and Chef de Mission Seminar.

During one-on-one meetings, Asian NPCs expressed appreciation to the work done by NPC service team staff and showed great excitement and expectation about the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Para Games.

NPCs are also encouraged to contact HAPGOC NPC Services Team to arrange one-on-one meetings and get update information from HAPGOC.

Hangzhou 2022 launches NPC Extranet

Meanwhile, HAPGOC announced the official launch of an Extranet dedicated to National Paralympic Committees. This Extranet will facilitate communication and the exchange of information between HAPGOC and the NPCs taking part in the 4th Asian Para Games from October 9-15, 2022.

As the preparations for the Games are in full swing, HAPGOC has been developing and refining Games-related policies and procedures under the guidance of APC. This new Extranet ensures that all NPCs have convenient access to the latest updates on Hangzhou 2022’s Games policies and procedures, as well as a variety of important documents.

NPCs will be able to access the dedicated site by applying for an account. In the future, new functions will be added to this site in order to help NPCs better prepare for the Games.

NPCs are also encouraged to contact Hangzhou Asian Para Games NPC Services Team to make full use of this new service.

The 4th Asian Para Games will be held from October 9-15, 2022 in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang province in eastern China.

Hangzhou will be the second Chinese city to host the APC’s premier international multi-sport event, following Guangzhou in 2010.
