China’s GUO Lingling broke the world record twice – 122kg and 123kg – on the way winning the gold in Women’s -45kg event. An elated Lingling said after her record-breaking show; “The atmosphere of the audience is so great, and I feel very excited about setting a world record. The secret is just sticking to powerlifting and being persistent with it. If someone would break my Paralympic and world record, it would be fine because it is good for the competition. That means we can make progress.”

In the pool China’s golden girl JIANG Yuyan did it again, winning gold in the Women’s 100m Freestyle S7 knocking a second of her own World Record in the process. This takes her gold medal tally for this games to four. She won an incredible seven gold medals at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Para Games and with three more events to go in Paris, could she match this?!

In Wheelchair Tennis, Japan’s Yui KAMIJI won her semi-final to set up a final against de GROOT from the Netherlands. In the men’s event, Japan’s Tokito ODA beat EGBERINK from the Netherlands to set up a semi-final against Argentina’s FERNANDEZ.
