China, Japan and Republic of Korea NPCs sign MoU to advance para sports cooperation

In a significant step toward strengthening regional collaboration in Para sports, the National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) of China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea (ROK) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote long-term cooperation in Para sports development.

The MoU signing took place at the China Administration of Sports for Persons with Disabilities in Beijing, marking a new milestone in trilateral relations.

The signing ceremony follwed a trilateral dialogue, where representatives from all three NPCs shared updates on recent progress and exchanged ideas for future collaboration.

Under the newly signed MoU, the three NPCs agreed to extend cooperation across several key areas:

  • Joint hosting of competitions
  • Athlete training and exchanges
  • Capacity building and training for sports officials
  • Promoting participation of female and youth athletes with disabilities
  • Advancing inclusion and awareness of Para sports

The signing further strengthens the relationship between three of Asia’s leading Paralympic nations, laying the foundation for a more integrated and impactful future for Para sports in the region.
