Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) President Mr. Majid Rashed met with the rest of the APC Executive Board for the 37th Executive Board meeting which was held online. Opening the meeting, Mr. Majid Rashed expressed his gratitude and effort to the Board members and contributors. He expressed his delight that a new host city for the Asian Youth Para Games had been secured. Dubai will host the games later this year from December 7 to 14. He stated that the Local Organising Committee and the APC will work together to create a successful games and ensure a robust sport programme for the young athletes who will travel to Dubai from across Asia.

The audited financial report from 2024 was presented, along with updates on upcoming events to be held internationally including the Asian Para Games, to be held in Aichi-Nagoya in October 2026, the next APC General Assembly in Astana in August 2025. An update was also given on the APC Strategic Plan and the meeting also heard about athlete development programmes as well efforts to promote women’s participation in sports across Asia. The meeting closed with President Majid saying; “With the news in recent days of the Dubai 2025 Asian Youth Para Games, the General Assembly on the horizon and Aichi-Nagoya 2026 next year, it is clear that a lot of hard work is being done in our region. Thank you to all our Executive Board members as well as all of the APC sub-committee members for all their efforts, which will ensure that the Paralympic Movement in Asia continues to grow and strengthen.”
