Asian Paralympic Committee attends Chery International User Summit and Green Ride Activity in Wuhu

The Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) attended the Chery International User Summit 2025 in Wuhu, China – a premier global platform promoting sustainability, innovation, and social impact.

Representing the APC, Chief Executive Officer Tarek Souei took part in the Green Ride Activity, a powerful initiative that embodies Chery’s commitment to Green, Charity, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) values.

The summit brought together an inspiring lineup of international leaders and changemakers, including Mr. Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Global, and Mr. Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary-General of the United Nations, alongside representatives from leading sustainability-focused organizations.

During the event, Mr. Souei was presented with the Certificate of Membership of the Chery Global ESG Advisory Group, recognising the APC’s shared commitment to advancing sustainability and inclusion through sport.

Mr. Souei also joined the Starting Signal Ceremony alongside global guests and later participated in the Finish Line Ceremony, where awards and certificates were presented to participants of the Green Ride.

Speaking at the summit, the APC CEO highlighted the importance of collaboration and shared values in building a sustainable and inclusive future:

“What we’re celebrating today goes beyond technology and innovation. It’s about shared responsibility for our planet, for our communities, and for the generations that will follow,” said Mr. Souei.

He added that the summit’s focus on ESG and community engagement strongly aligns with the APC’s mission:

“At the Asian Paralympic Committee, our mission is to make for an Inclusive Asia through Para sport; to promote inclusion, resilience, and hope. These values align closely with Chery’s commitment to responsible innovation and community development.”

Expressing his appreciation for the collaboration, Mr. Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Global, welcomed the APC’s participation and reaffirmed Chery’s dedication to meaningful partnerships that create long-term impact:

“We are honoured to have the Asian Paralympic Committee join us at the Chery International User Summit,” said Mr. Yin. “Chery is committed to driving sustainable innovation and social responsibility. By working with global organizations like the APC, we can inspire change, promote inclusion, and move toward a greener, more compassionate future together.”

The APC also acknowledged Chery International’s continued partnership in promoting inclusion through sport. Earlier this year, Chery was a proud sponsor of the Asian Awards 2025 in Astana, supporting the celebration of excellence, diversity, and achievement across the Paralympic Movement in Asia.

“It was a powerful example of how collaboration between sport and industry can inspire real social impact,” said Mr. Souei.

APC President Majid Rashed also praised Chery International’s leadership in championing sustainability and inclusion:

“We deeply appreciate Chery International’s commitment to using innovation and global reach for positive change,” said Mr. Rashed. “Their partnership reflects a shared belief that progress is most meaningful when it uplifts communities and creates opportunities for all. Together, we are not just driving innovation; we are driving inclusion and hope across Asia.”

The Chery International User Summit 2025 continues to serve as a global platform for connection, innovation, and collaboration, with this year’s focus on ESG reinforcing the power of collective action toward sustainability and inclusivity.
