The Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) and BDH Foundation on Saturday signed a four-year strategic partnership agreement aimed at strengthening the Paralympic Movement across Asia and creating greater opportunities for athletes with disabilities.
The agreement was signed by APC President His Excellency Majid Rashed and BDH Foundation Chairman His Excellency Bae Dong Hyun, marking an important step towards long-term cooperation in the development and promotion of Para sport across the continent.
The partnership will focus on expanding opportunities for Para athletes, strengthening the capacity of National Paralympic Committees (NPCs), supporting athlete-centred development and promoting greater inclusion and equal opportunities through sport.
As part of the agreement, BDH Foundation will be recognised as a ‘Prestige Partner of the Asian Paralympic Committee’, reflecting its long-term commitment to the growth of the Paralympic Movement in Asia.
The cooperation also reinforces the shared vision of both organisations to use the power of Para sport to transform lives, empower athletes and build a more inclusive society.
APC President Rashed welcomed the partnership, highlighting the importance of sustained support and collaboration in advancing Para sport across the region.
“This partnership with BDH Foundation marks an important milestone in our efforts to strengthen the Paralympic Movement across Asia.”
“Asia is home to incredible sporting talent, and we believe every athlete deserves the opportunity to realise their potential, regardless of their background or circumstances.
“Through this cooperation, we hope to create more opportunities for our athletes, strengthen our NPCs and ensure that the benefits of Para sport reach more communities across the continent.
“We sincerely thank BDH Foundation and Chairman HE Bae Dong Hyun for their trust, generosity and commitment to our shared vision of a stronger and more inclusive Paralympic Movement,” Rashed said at the signing ceremony that took place in Nagoya, Japan.

“At BDH Foundation, we believe that sport has the power to change lives, and that no athlete’s potential should be limited by circumstances.
“Our partnership with the APC is not simply about providing support, but about creating lasting change and opening new doors for Para athletes across Asia.
“We look forward to working closely with the APC to advance a stronger, more inclusive, and more impactful Paralympic Movement throughout Asia,” said BDH Foundation Chairman Bae Dong Hyun.
The agreement also reflects APC’s continued commitment to solidarity and capacity building among its member NPCs, particularly in supporting emerging Para sport nations and creating sustainable pathways for athletes and technical personnel.
With an initial term of four years and provisions for automatic renewal, the partnership is expected to provide sustained support for APC’s development priorities while contributing to the long-term growth of Para sport in Asia.
The APC and BDH Foundation share a common belief that sport has the power to break barriers, inspire communities and create lasting opportunities for persons with disabilities.
