Iranian men volleyball sitting team saved Asian Championships Cup in the final match against Kazakhstan. This competition launched 5th April at 16:30 pm in Shahid Beheshti Hall, in the holy city of Mashhad .I.R. IRAN.
The Iranian players won the match in three consecutive sets: 25-12, 25-23, and 25-21 to prove again their domination of triumph in Asia. Iran’s volleyball sitting in qualification round respectively hit Japan, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia; in semi- final defeated China, leading to face Iran against Kazakhstan in the final.
Kazakhstan’s team because of his previous appearance in final round got the license to participate in World Championships, but at the second rank in Asia. Till last year, there was nothing special can say about Kazakhstanis team, but appointing Mr. Jalil Eimery, Iranian ex-Capitan of Iranian national team, as the coach and advisor to this team ,caused rapid improvement in Kazakhstan team.
Mr. Kiomars Hashemi; I.R.Iran National Olympic Committee President, Mr. Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa; I.R.I NPC and some of other officials & sportsmen of Khorasan Razavi Province attended to watch the final match. According to the reports, the competition hall was full of 2000 people.
In ranking round, Iraq had no word to say as defeated from China 3-0: 25-17, 25-22, 25-18, placing Chinese at the third place.
In final round of women, China again was ahead of Iran in three sets: 27-25, 25-22, and 25-15 and named Iran as the second rank. Iranian women alongside of China licensed to attend in Poland World Championships.
