APC sends condolences on NPC Afghanistan President Mahmoudi’s death

The Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) has sent condolences to the family and friends of Afghanistan Paralympic Committee President, Amir Mahmoud Mahmoudi who passed away on 1 December 2019 following a heart attack.

In his message to NPC Afghanistan, APC President Majid Rashed said: “I am deeply saddened to hear the death of Amir Mahmoud Mahmoudi, Afghanistan Paralympic Committee President. He was an important figure in the growth of the Paralympic Movement in the Asian region.”

“His work had a profound impact on the Para athletes and the Movement in Afghanistan. He will be sorely missed.

“On behalf of Asian Paralympic family, I would like to express my deepest and heartfelt condolences to Mahmoudi’s family, friends and colleagues at the Afghanistan Paralympic Committee.

“May his soul rest in peace,” he added.
