With the Rio Paralympic Games just 86 days away the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) is holding its 14th Executive Board meeting in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates on 15th and 16th June.
The Board will review topics from the APC Handbook, including the newly formed Legal and Ethics Committee before moving onto discussing upcoming events, including Rio 2016, the APC General Assembly which will take place in Bangkok in November 2016, the 2017 Asian Youth Para Games and the 2018 Asian Para Games in Indonesia. Further discussion will take place on how to develop the Paralympic movement in Asia and the key partnerships that the APC will concentrate on.
The Executive Board meeting is coinciding with the Pre- Delegate Registration Meetings that are taking place for Rio 2016 and is being supported by the Dubai Club for the Disabled.
Mr Majid Rashed commented:
“We are looking forward to another productive Board meeting with colleagues focused on driving the movement forward in Asia. I’d like to thank the Dubai Club for the Disabled for all their support in organising this key meeting.“
